Abstract: This training manual outlines IPCC-compliant procedures for measuring GHG emissions, soil carbon, and biomass stocks in smallholder systems. It includes field protocols, laboratory workflows, and data interpretation strategies tailored for Kenya. It identifies key emission sources such as livestock methane and soil-based nitrous oxide, recommending mitigation through agroforestry and manure management. The resource is intended for extension officers and researchers involved in MRV and climate-smart agriculture. It contributes to capacity building and strengthens Kenya?s climate reporting toolkit.
