Abstract: This aide memoire summarizes the findings of the third implementation support mission conducted in March 2025 for the K-WASH Program. It reviews implementation progress under the $458 million Kenya Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene (K-WASH) Program co-financed by the Government of Kenya, World Bank, and partners. Key achievements include establishment of county program units, disbursement-linked results (DLRs) on water and sanitation access, verification mechanisms via Independent Verification Agent, and county water strategies. Challenges include delays in fiduciary systems, environmental safeguards, and inter-agency coordination?particularly for refugee-hosting counties. The report documents performance ratings, procurement updates, legal covenant compliance, and program adjustments that aim to enhance resilience, sanitation coverage, and decentralized WASH systems in 19 counties.
