Abstract: These national policy guidelines provide Kenya?s first dedicated framework for integrating population dynamics, health, and environmental sustainability. Anchored by the National Council for Population and Development (NCPD), the guidelines promote a multisectoral Population, Health and Environment (PHE) approach that acknowledges the interlinkages between rapid population growth, public health, and environmental degradation. They align with Kenya?s demographic projections, highlighting a population rise from 47.6 million in 2019 to an estimated 80 million by 2050, and emphasize the triple burden of disease?communicable, non-communicable, and nutritional?and the environmental impacts of urbanization, deforestation, pollution, and land degradation. Policy interventions are structured around family planning, natural resource management, sustainable livelihoods, resilient food systems, youth empowerment, and health service delivery. The guidelines detail coordination structures, PHE indicators, integrated service delivery packages, and mechanisms for county-level implementation and monitoring.
