Abstract: IEA?s flagship annual report predicts a surge in electricity demand through 2027, driven by EVs, heating electrification, and data centers. Consumption will grow by 3,500 TWh?equivalent to Japan?s yearly usage. Renewables will meet 95% of new demand, led by solar PV and wind, while nuclear rebounds. Fossil generation stagnates.
