Abstract: This inventory profiles 41 biodigester enterprises in Kenya, assessing technology types, workforce capacity, market share, regional footprint, and financing. It documents 20,000+ cumulative installations, with prefabricated digesters dominating (65% sales). County clusters are strongest in Mt. Kenya, Rift Valley, and Western regions. The study traces historical technology evolution, enterprise certifications, gender participation, and sales channels. It highlights barriers like low consumer awareness, affordability limits, and fragmented marketing. Future projections suggest 15,000 digesters over 4 years, contingent on vocational training and financial aggregation via cooperatives and SACCOs. Quality assurance, environmental benefits, and carbon mitigation estimates are included.
