Abstract: This policy brief defines Kenya?s climate data ecosystem (CDE) and highlights gaps including fragmentation, weak institutional coordination, and poor community integration. It proposes a multi-actor framework with KMD, NDMA, counties, private sector, and intermediaries. The brief emphasizes county-level CIS plans, activation of CIMES platforms, and quantification of climate-related investments. It calls for public-private partnerships and inclusion of indigenous knowledge. Improving the data ecosystem is framed as crucial for household resilience and transparent climate finance tracking.
