Abstract: This newsletter from WWF-Kenya showcases achievements in coastal climate resilience across the Coastal Kenya Landscape, particularly in Kilifi, Lamu, and Mombasa counties. Highlights include the planting of 90,000 mangrove seedlings, development of Participatory Forest Management Plans, and community-led plastic waste innovations such as the TakaConnect platform. The publication also documents fisheries co-management activities, knowledge exchanges with Tanzania, and progress under the Bahari Safi Challenge that addresses marine pollution. Disaster preparedness efforts led to Lamu County?s Emergency Operation Centre receiving an international award. Further, Kenya affirmed its stance on global plastic phase-outs and coastal treaty alignment. Across the document, community partnerships, restoration science, circular economy solutions, and climate governance models are integrated to show the breadth of coastal ecosystem action. This collection reflects bottom-up resilience models and supports biodiversity conservation and policy implementation linked to the Sustainable Waste Management Act 2022.
