Abstract: This five-year plan aims to restore 2,550 hectares of degraded mangrove forests in Kilifi County through community-led conservation. It includes zonation mapping, ecological restoration, blue carbon credit initiatives, and livelihood enhancement activities. Five integrated programs target mangrove rehabilitation, fisheries enhancement, water resource protection, community development, and research. The plan aligns with Kenya?s national climate and forest strategies, and emphasizes participatory governance, institutional capacity building, and ecosystem services restoration to improve biodiversity and local well-being.
