Abstract: Kenya?s national eCooking strategy aims to reduce biomass use by scaling electric cooking. Despite high electrification, only 0.9% of households use electricity for cooking. The strategy proposes subsidies, VAT waivers, carbon financing pilots, and tariff reforms. It models adoption trajectories and estimates revenue gains for Kenya Power. It also links eCooking to gender empowerment and public health. Monitoring frameworks and institutional coordination are outlined. The strategy aligns with NDCs and SDG 7 while supporting clean energy access.
