Abstract: This 87-page national scenario report outlines Kenya?s pathway to achieving 100% renewable electricity by 2050. It models BAU vs. clean energy transitions, projecting scale-ups in solar (17,000 MW), wind (9,000 MW), and geothermal (5,600 MW), with transport electrification and improved cookstoves. Cost-benefit analyses show renewables outperform fossil fuels economically over time. It connects Vision 2030, NDCs, and SDGs, integrating policy reform, rural access, and gender equity. Recommendations include biogas promotion, efficient charcoal, solar water heating, and budget reallocation. Electrification programs (e.g. KOSAP) and decentralization efforts are highlighted.
