Abstract: This guide presents a policy framework for integrating land restoration with social protection, financial inclusion, and disaster risk finance. It highlights how degraded land?affecting up to 40% of the global surface?undermines livelihoods and resilience, especially in developing regions. The report outlines three policy pathways: stand-alone instruments with co-benefits, integrated programs, and intersectoral coordination. It emphasizes inclusive approaches centering women, youth, and indigenous communities. Case studies and policy tools provide actionable steps for UNCCD parties to align land restoration with economic empowerment and climate resilience.
