This brief introduces the VALORISE project, focused on embedding circular bioeconomy (CBE) principles into Kenya?s dairy sector. With 6B litres of annual milk production, Kenya generates vast waste streams ripe for valorisation. The project maps actors, quantifies biomass, and develops reuse scenarios including whey-to-feed and spoilage-to-energy. The report proposes prevention (cold chains), reuse (feed conversion), and recycling (protein extraction) with business model prototypes and training activities. Partners include ACTS, Roskilde University, Egerton University, and Arla Foods. It supports SDGs 2, 9, 12, and 13 and positions dairy waste as a climate-smart resource for clean energy, food security, and emissions mitigation.
