Abstract: This study analyzes climate change impacts on the WEF nexus in Narok County (Kenya) and Vhembe (South Africa) using downscaled CMIP5 model data. With projected temperature rise and rainfall decline, consequences include reduced agricultural yields, hydropower disruption, and water scarcity. Socio-economic surveys enhance quantitative modeling. Vulnerability assessments spotlight ASAL fragility, rainfed farming risks, and resource stress. The report proposes adaptive planning for transboundary resilience. Ensemble bias correction and index calibration methods (e.g. CDD, SDII) enrich the analysis, offering policy-ready insight for climate-integrated development across East and Southern Africa.
