Abstract: The African carbon credit showcase is a flagship publication by the African Carbon Markets Initiative (ACMI), designed to promote visibility, transparency, and accessibility of high-integrity carbon credit projects across Africa. It highlights over 100 projects from more than 20 countries, spanning sectors such as forestry, household devices, renewable energy, agroforestry, and engineered carbon dioxide removal. The showcase categorizes projects by validation status, methodology, and credit type, and includes key metrics such as estimated emissions reductions, community benefits, and financing needs. Kenya features prominently, with projects like KOKO Fuel delivering clean cooking alternatives to charcoal for over 950,000 households.
