Abstract: The Wajir County Climate Action Plan 2023?2027 presents a comprehensive strategy to address the county?s acute vulnerability to climate change. Anchored in the Climate Change Act (2016) and developed under the Financing Locally Led Climate Action (FLLoCA) program, this plan was created through extensive participatory engagement across all 30 wards. It identifies the county's key climate risks?including droughts, floods, conflicts, environmental degradation, and disease outbreaks?and establishes a roadmap for mitigation and adaptation across five priority areas: disaster risk management, food and nutrition security, water, forest and rangeland conservation, and human health and settlements.
