Abstract: This newsletter compiles activities undertaken across seven countries under the Voices for Just Climate Action (VCA) Alliance during 2023, focusing on community-led climate justice, youth mobilization, and inclusive advocacy. In Kenya, VCA partners organized workshops in Nairobi and Siaya to boost grassroots communications, facilitate youth engagement, and highlight pollution challenges in urban areas. The newsletter recounts civil society campaigns, capacity-strengthening programs, local policy dialogues, and nature-based conservation projects led by women and youth. It documents contributions to COP28, outlining how local voices shaped global climate conversations. Coverage also includes cross-regional knowledge exchanges and previews of 2024 events geared towards amplifying just transition messaging and coordination among VCA members in Bolivia, Tunisia, Zambia, and Indonesia. With rich photography and partner reflections, the bulletin serves as both a record of progress and a strategic tool to inspire collaboration, reinforce accountability, and inform future planning around equitable and participatory climate governance.
