Abstract: This publication documents the advocacy impact of the Voices for Just Climate Action (VCA) initiative across seven implementing countries, with focused insights from Kenya. It showcases civil society-led engagement with climate adaptation policies, financing mechanisms, and water governance structures. Through case studies, the report illustrates how local organizations influenced budget allocations, supported legislative reforms, and anchored climate funds like the CCCF into county frameworks. The publication highlights interventions in riparian zone rehabilitation, climate-smart agriculture, and inclusive community planning. It also explores barriers to effective advocacy, including limited access to decision-making spaces and insufficient technical capacity. By identifying enabling conditions?such as policy literacy, multi-stakeholder dialogue, and media strategies?the report offers a blueprint for civic action in climate justice. Monitoring and evaluation tools developed under the program are presented, along with indicators for tracking policy influence and behavioral change. The findings emphasize the critical role of locally grounded advocacy in building equitable, sustainable climate resilience.
