Abstract: This report examines gender and protection vulnerabilities during drought conditions in Marsabit County through a rapid assessment methodology. Data collected from over 730 households, key informant interviews, and focus group discussions illuminates the disproportionate impact of climate stress on women, children, persons with disabilities, and minority groups. The study highlights widespread disruptions in healthcare, education, water access, and economic livelihoods. It tracks shifting gender roles and heightened exposure to gender-based violence and social exclusion. The analysis notes significant gaps in protection services, safe spaces, and psychosocial support. Recommendations advocate feminist approaches to humanitarian programming, strengthening inclusive governance, economic safety nets, women?s leadership, and disability-responsive interventions.
