Abstract: This investment plan presents Kenya?s strategic framework under the Climate Investment Funds? (CIF) Nature, People and Climate (NPC) Program. Anchored in national priorities such as Vision 2030 and the National Landscape and Ecosystem Restoration Strategy, the plan identifies two priority landscapes?Ewaso Ng?iro North and Lake Victoria South?for Nature-based Solutions (NbS) investments. It targets ecosystem restoration, climate-resilient livelihoods, and private sector engagement. The plan is structured around three components: Nature Capital (ecosystem restoration, water governance), Nature People (climate-smart agriculture, rangeland management, alternative livelihoods), and Nature Ventures (incentives for carbon and biodiversity markets, ecotourism, and green value chains). It outlines $155 million in financing (USD 34M from CIF, USD 121M co-finance) and integrates social inclusion, institutional strengthening, and a dedicated grant mechanism for Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs).
