Abstract: This stakeholder engagement plan is designed to accompany the Lake Naivasha Basin Integrated Management Plan by providing structured approaches to community and institutional involvement. Spanning Nakuru, Nyandarua, and Narok counties, the document outlines roles for WRUAs, county governments, Indigenous Peoples, civil society, and water user groups. It identifies past engagement gaps, such as lack of feedback loops, insufficient representation of marginalized groups, and weak institutional coordination. The plan recommends periodic participatory consultations, use of feedback mechanisms, gender-sensitive outreach, and stakeholder influence mapping. It highlights Imarisha Naivasha?s convening role and proposes monitoring tools to evaluate engagement effectiveness. The plan ensures that basin restoration activities?like riparian conservation and pollution control?are rooted in inclusive governance, social buy-in, and policy alignment.
