Abstract: This PCRA maps climate hazards across all 40 wards in Kitui County, identifying how prolonged droughts, erratic rainfall, and land degradation disproportionately affect crop production, livestock health, water access, and community infrastructure. It applies participatory tools?like vulnerability profiling, community scoring, and spatial hazard mapping?to outline risks for different demographic groups, including youth, elderly, PLWDs, and farmers. The assessment integrates downscaled RCP projections to guide investment prioritization in climate-smart agriculture, afforestation, resilient health systems, and off-grid water solutions. Recommendations include boosting ward-level disaster preparedness, ecosystem restoration, and multi-sectoral planning aligned to CIDP and Kenya?s NCCAP. Notably, it identifies key actors such as NGOs, donor initiatives, and inter-county collaboration platforms. The report supports evidence-based integration of climate risks into county budgeting, public participation mechanisms, and investment pipelines under the FLLoCA programme.
