Abstract: The Kiambu County Participatory Climate Risk Assessment (PCRA) Report presents an in-depth risk, vulnerability, and adaptation analysis across the county?s 12 sub-counties, developed under the FLLoCA program. Anchored in the Climate Change Act 2016 and Kenya?s NAP/NCCAP, the report blends participatory data with downscaled climate models to assess historical trends and future projections for rainfall, temperature, and climate-induced hazards. The county experiences bimodal rainfall patterns, with intensifying variability?April being the wettest and July?September driest. Projections indicate increased rainfall and temperature, with hotspots of extreme events. The report maps ward-level risks, identifies vulnerable populations (especially agriculture-dependent households, youth, women, and PWDs), and catalogs differentiated impacts. Existing adaptation strategies across water, agriculture, health, and infrastructure sectors are reviewed, and strategic investments are prioritized through a resilience matrix aligned with CIDP and SDG indicators.
