Abstract: The Kericho County Final Participatory Climate Risk Assessment presents Kericho?s county-specific vulnerability and hazard mapping under the Financing Locally-Led Climate Action programme. Led by the County Climate Change Unit and Ward Climate Change Planning Committees, it captures climate threats across 30 wards, including prolonged droughts, erratic rainfall, soil erosion, and landslides. The assessment synthesizes historical climate trends and future projections using national and county-level scenarios. It identifies sectoral exposures, particularly in agriculture, water, energy, and infrastructure, and outlines localized resilience priorities including afforestation, agroecology, water resource protection, and flood management. The document engages stakeholders in inclusive decision-making and prioritization, framing resilience through community narratives and scientific baselines. A vulnerability index and climate hazard matrix are applied to guide investment planning and policy formulation. This report serves as an operational reference for devolved governments seeking to translate climate data into actionable adaptation interventions.
