Abstract: This logistics note outlines the structure, thematic focus areas, and high-level agenda of the Eastern Africa Regional Green Hydrogen Symposium, held on 14?15 May 2025 at Emara Ole-Sereni, Nairobi. Co-hosted by the Governments of Kenya and Germany in collaboration with the East African Centre of Excellence for Renewable Energy and Efficiency (EACREEE), the symposium aimed to accelerate the development of the green hydrogen industry in Eastern Africa. It convened ministers, financiers, project developers, technical experts, and development partners through panels, ministerial debates, and thematic breakouts. Key focus areas included green industrialization, hydrogen-based fertilizers and fuels, regional trade, policy and regulatory frameworks, innovation and skills development, and contributions of green hydrogen to achieving climate goals. The event also spotlighted gender equity, youth inclusion, and just transition through side events and specialized tracks.
