Abstract: This report summarizes outcomes from the 2024 Innovate4Cities Conference and updates the Global Research and Action Agenda (GRAA). It documents emerging research gaps, action priorities, and innovations for city-level climate mitigation, adaptation, and equity. Key topics include use of AI in urban climate planning, community engagement, digital infrastructure, and climate finance readiness. The report introduces tools such as the Climate Innovation Readiness Navigator (CIRN) and AI x City Climate Action Hackathon. It reflects insights from over 226 sessions and contributions by 100+ global experts. Recommendations are provided for enhancing data sharing, inclusive governance, and place-based planning. Focus areas include nature-based solutions, just transitions, systems thinking, and evidence-based urban policymaking. The document emphasizes peer learning, technical assistance platforms, and mechanisms to support alignment with international frameworks such as the Paris Agreement and SDG 11.
