Abstract: This report explores how off-grid solar technologies can support food systems through water pumping, cold storage, and agro-processing. It emphasizes the importance of cross-sector collaboration between energy, agriculture, and finance stakeholders. Case studies from Kenya and Uganda illustrate successful models. The report also identifies policy and investment gaps that hinder scale-up. Recommendations include integrated planning and targeted subsidies.
