Abstract: This annual report provides an overview of the UNODC Global Programme on Crimes that Affect the Environment (GPCAE) and its impact in 2024. The report details efforts to combat wildlife trafficking, illegal mining, waste trafficking, and crimes in the fisheries sector. It highlights national assessments, legislative reforms, capacity-building initiatives, and international cooperation strategies. Key successes include supporting over 40 countries, training 2,000 law enforcement officers, and contributing to 80 wildlife crime investigations.
