Abstract: The report explores the sustainability of construction plastics, an industry experiencing significant growth, especially in emerging markets. Since the mid-1930s, with the introduction of hard polyvinyl chloride pipes, plastics have become crucial in the construction sector. However, assessing the sustainability of these materials involves considering their entire life cycle, including their properties, impacts on people and the environment, and their recyclability.
