Abstract: This report presents the greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory for the refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC) sector in Kenya. It is based on previous work undertaken between 2016 and 2019 under the first phase of the Green Cooling Initiative (GCI),financed by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment,Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) as part of their International Climate Initiative (IKI). The report has been compiled by Habitat,Energy Application & Technology (HEAT) GmbH and by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and is based on previous data collection work prepared between 2017 and 2019,which contained an inventory,technology gap,policy analysis and a road map for the RAC sector in Kenya.
