Abstract: The objective of this study was to provide insight into the impact and efficient use of improved biomass cook-stoves in institutions in Kenya. The study focused on regulated (improved cookstoves use) and unregulated (traditional or conventional cookstoves use) environments on biomass energy consumption with all its impacts. The study targeted Educational Institutions; Health institutions; Prisons; and Hospitality Industry. A total number of 705 institutions were sampled across fourteen representative Counties in Kenya.
