Abstract: Energy access greatly improves quality of life,but it can also cause environmental damage in the form of e-waste. When OGS products and other consumer electronic appliances reach end of life,they are often discarded into the surrounding environment,resulting in unmanaged e-waste. These substances contain a wide range of hazardous chemicals and toxic pollutants which can lead to environmental contamination and adversely affect public health,most notably to the people who handle the waste.
