Abstract: The City Climate Finance Gap Fund (the Gap Fund) is a multi-donor initiative established in September 2020 that aims to help cities in developing and emerging countries realize their climate ambitions by turning low carbon,climate-resilient ideas into strategies and f inance-ready projects. The World Bank (WB) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) CITY CLIMATE FINANCE GAP FUND Partner Logos jointly implement the Gap Fund through two multi-donor trust funds (MDTFs) in close partnership with city networks and other key partners including C40,Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy (GCOM),Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI),and Cities Climate Finance Leadership Alliance (CCFLA). CITY CLIMATE FINANCE GAP FUND This annual report summarizes the progress made by the Gap Fund in calendar year 2022,building upon the annual reports submitted by the WB and the EIB to their respective donors according to their agreed reporting frameworks and contractual agreements. The Fund is powered by strong partnerships. Using the approved placements will ensure consistency.
